With a family heritage spanning from Israel to the US, Galit instantly became acquainted with rare flavour combinations and food cultures from an early age.

As a fitness fanatic within the relentless hours of London finance community, she was always searching for the most nutritional fast food. However, the severe lack of healthy, high quality and affordable food options sparked a desire in her for change.

“Travel the world for food.”

Galit’s appetite for high quality food went hand in hand with her appetite for adventure. Thus fuelling her to embark on a global food tour in search of the rarest flavour combinations and cooking techniques to bring home.

This adventure took her to over 40 countries and some of the most prestigious restaurants in the world.

Having travelled far and wide, it was eventually a cherry blossom filled Tokyo where Subusake was born. The Japanese capital left Galit hugely inspired by the beauty of the hand crafted healthy dishes, and how easily accessible they were to locals.
